  1. This is covered in part in various places but I thought it might be useful to have it in one. I've got VIPM running on CentOS 8 but you have to jump through some hoops due to 64 bit, wayland and rpm signing! 1. Install support for the 32 bit RTE on 64 bit by installing the following packages: glibc.i686 libstdc++.i686 libXinerama.i686 libGL.so.1 2. To install the run time engine - you need to remove the digest checks since these have got more strict. In the run time engine folder edit INSTALL so the line that starts RPMOPT includes --nodigest at the end of the string.
  2. Same issue still in 2018 f2. Appears to be related to a vim in a class. Removing the vim from the class solves the problem. I got that work around from Tom and another at https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/VI-Package-Manager-Fails-to-Build-with-Malleable-VIs-VIMs/td-p/3871468
  3. Hi, I use VI Tester everywhere! On one project though it seems to have slowed down significantly. The project originally had around 60 tests in 13 test cases. I have now expanded that to 76 tests in 15 test cases. It is now really slow to initialise (after splash-screen but not tests visible) i.e. 5+ minutes. I don't think it is size as it seems very non-linear in time growth. Are there any known issues that could cause this? (running in LV 2014 SP1) Cheers, James
  4. The issue was with a dependent system package. Still unsure what the exact cause was but working now after removing system package and reinstalling. You can see the details at https://decibel.ni.com/content/message/138311#138311
  5. Hi Everyone, Today I have struggled to install a package for the first time ever! I am trying to install Saphir's ViBox - Probes package which I have always installed previously without issue (and have installed under different LabVIEW versions). I upgraded to VIPM 2016 Pro the other day and now when I try to install this package to LabVIEW 2015 I get the following error: Any ideas what could be causing this? The only troubleshooting I could think of was to run as admin but that didn't help. Other packages install without issue. Cheers, James
  6. Hi Guys, I've been using VI Tester for all of my desktop testing and am now moving to some real time code. I'm having some issues though. I'm still not sure how I eventually got the tests to display in the test runner. Also it appears to run all of the tests under Windows, not terrible except now my classes are in memory there too so I cannot edit them. Am I missing a fundamental step for RT testing? Is there a guide anywhere? Cheers, James
  7. Thanks Jim, I thought it seemed most likely I was missing something, thanks for the responses and the documentation updates. Cheers, James
  8. Hi Guys, I got the pro edition of VIPM so that I can easily switch between projects without having to worry so much about dependencies. However I have been creating vipc files but it often seems to miss some dependencies when I scan my projects. In some places I can't explain it (it misses the lavag json library in one project) in others it is a little more understandable (I'm using the Saphir xcontrols and it misses these). Obviously this is a problem but would be easily solved with an option to manually add packages but this doesn't appear to exist. Am I missing something? Ch
