  1. Hello, I am installing LabVIEW and EasyXML on a new PC. This PC needs to have both LabVIEW 2017 and 2019 installed for our purposes. I’ve been encountering issues while trying to install the EasyXML package with VIPM 2017 and 2019. In particular I am getting the error VIPM could not connect to LabVIEW 2017 – please see the first image. The error pops-up after I hit Install and LabVIEW finishes loading. So I think that it is not a timeout issue as suggested on the various forums about this topic, because actually LabVIEW opens up. My guess is that there is some sort of communication between LabVIEW and VIPM, but maybe it is not complete? A similar error with the same dynamics pops up if I take any of the suggested actions described here and here and then I try to verify the connections in VIPM – as shown in the second image. The same error appears if I try to verify LabVIEW 2019. I tried to debug the issue and take the actions as per the two previous links, without obtaining any results. I tried all the different options, from checking the Ports IDs were the same, adding the suggested entries to the Machine access list in VI Server, to allowing apps through the firewall, to running VIPM as Admin. None of these actions made any difference. Please note that localhost indicated in the error window in the above screenshot is in the Machine access list – please see third image. It is worth noting that EasyXML for LabVIEW 2019 was previously installed in this same PC that now has giving issues. For internal reasons we had to uninstall and re-install LabVIEW in this PC. During the uninstallation, VIPM has been removed and hence subsequently re-installed as well. Since the re-installation, VIPM has been giving this problem. I hope you can help. Thanks
