Aristos Queue
A library can declare a list of friends. VIPM is currently including the friends in the list of the files that must be included in the package and is aborting the package build if the friends are not present. Missing friends will not break the library. Friends are designed to be able to be missing. Friends can be installed later, separately, but they are not required for the operation of the library. VIPM should not prevent building packages with missing friends.
Michael Aivaliotis
VIPM looks at dependencies to determine package building contents. Not sure if the library is calling the friend VIs. We will add this to our tracker and investigate. Edit: Has been logged internally as Case 13620
