Javier Vallejo
Hi, When I'm trying to use VIPM to install a package it appears the error "Not enough memory to complete this operation" (attached picture MemoryError.PNG). If I click to accept, it appears the error EndError.PNG. I have probed it with various versions of VIPM and at all happens the same. Also, I was running at the same time the task manager and it shows me that it was free memory available. Anyone know how to fix this?
Jaakko Virta
Hi, this also happened to me on a virtual machine. In my resource monitor it seemed VIPM memory use raised to over 2.5GB before error, which is quite a lot. I tried on my physical hw and this didn't happen. From somewhere I read VIPM is 32bit so it can use 4GB at most. Don't know if that's old info. Problem first happened while trying to install a package and after that during startup when VIPM is "Refreshing package database"
