JimPanse
Hello experts, i have the vipm-2022.0.0.2355-beta-linux as described here: installed. The system (Debian 5.10.120-1 (2022-06-09) x86_64 GNU/Linux) is a virtual machine which is not managed by me and I don't know if all needed ports are open. When I start VIPM with sudo -E ./vipm I get the following message: The error description under: /user/local/JKI/VIPM/error/ is the following: =========== START of VIPM 2014.0 (build 0000) Error Message =========== An internal VIPM 2014.0 (build 0000) Error has occured on: Freitag November 25, 2022 at 09:18:34 = Automated Message Start = Error 363514 occurred at an unidentified location Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: (Hex 0x58BFA) An error occurred while receiving data from the network. = Automated Message End = = User Defined Message Start = Error downloading from: - http://download.ni.com/evaluation/labview/lvtn/vipm/index.vipr = User Defined Message End = = Error Handler Call Chain Start = VIPM Main Window.vi-> AAE1074383B2771E3F72419E68EA678B-> OGPM Class.lvlib:2895743F8294B43123CE307B3F0E5C68-> OGPM Class.lvlib:42E6479F493DC261F53744B3578B160 = Error Handler Call Chain End = =========== END of VIPM 2014.0 (build 0000) Error Message =========== The result is that no libraries can be loaded from VIPM. The file http://download.ni.com/evaluation/labview/lvtn/vipm/index.vipr can be downloaded from the system via the browser. The Labview version I use: Labview Professional Development System 2021 / 21.0.1f1 (64-bit) How can I fix this error? Which network ports are used by VIPM? Many greetings, Jim Edited November 25, 2022 by JimPanse
Jim Kring
@JimPanse, I haven't seen that error before. You could try changing the proxy settings in VIPM's options dialog to see if that helps at all. You could also try talking to your IT department 😕 https://support.vipm.io/hc/en-us/articles/214135483-Solving-VIPM-Network-Connection-Issues http://jkisoft.com/vipm/docs/2014/?turl=networkoptions.htm Let me know how it goes -- I'm curious what the root problem is for your system. JimPanse
Hello and thank you for the answer. as suspected, the problem was with the port settings of the firewall, which unfortunately I have no control over. Thank goodness for cell phones and a wifi stick Thanks for the beta! Greetings, Jim
