Feature Suggestion: Checkmark to separate compiled code for specific packages

Bas v. Etten

Some package creators don't have separate compiled code on for their vi's. So when I have a project which can be used on RT and on Windows, it needs to recompile every VI in that package when I switch platforms. This also means that when I close the project I have to save those VI's, which makes no sense because nothing has changed, only the compiled code.

The annoying part about this is, LabVIEW shows you this "Changed vi's" dialog where you can see which vi's have been changed before closing the project. Because of all these package vi's it's hard to see which vi's you changed are not saved.

As the VIPM already recompiles most vi's when installing packages changing the Separate compiled code would be very easy. How nice would it be to have a checkbox before installing a package where you can select to mark all vi's in that package for "separate compile code"?
