Jeffrey Habets
Hi, When running the installer (vipm-2.0-windows.exe) I get the error below: It seems stuck in a loop because clicking Continue, just brings up the dialog again.. It's only stoppable by killing the process. Jeffrey
Jim Kring
Hi Jeffrey, I'm sorry to hear about the installation trouble. Are you running on XP or Vista? Does your use account have administrator privileges? Does rebooting and trying again fix the problem? Can you run the OpenG VI, "Temporary Filename" (\user.lib\_OpenG.lib\file\file.llb\Temporary Filename__ogtk.vi), from within the LabVIEW development environment? How about if you change the value of the "sub directory" input (e.g., change it from "." to "test") and then run it? Thanks, -Jim
Jeffrey Habets
Hi Jim, I'm running on XP with admin privileges.. Didn't try rebooting yet. I tried your suggestions with Temporary Filename__ogtk.vi which indeed had the problem. Using a subdir worked OK. It's the "List folder" primitive that chokes on my temp dir.. I haven't figured out why yet, but now I know what the problem is, I'll manage with installing VIPM. Thanks! Jeffrey
TonP
I assume the executable uses the LabVIEW temp primitive. With a false temp folder (tmpdir=xxxx) you most likely get a running installer. http://wiki.lavag.org/LabVIEW_configuratio...le/Paths#tmpdir Ton
