I'm trying to install g-cli package from https://github.com/JamesMc86/G-CLI and it fails when opening .vip file due to not valid format. I'm pretty sure it's not the fault of the file as it gets open without issues on Windows and vipm 2017 on CentOS7. I think we've figured it out -- the issue is that some packages (like G-CLI) have Extended ASCII characters and are not being read correctly in Linux and Mac. We've found a solution and should have a beta build of VIPM 2023 Q3 for Linux available soon for you to help test, if you're interested.
